When you're in the middle of telling a group of people a really interesting story and someone interrupts you and then you start scrambling to remember what point you were trying to make with your interesting story so that when it comes back to you, you will be able to resume it, and then the conversation moves on and you realize no one gives a damn about what happened at the end of the "really interesting" story you were telling and you don't know whether to be pissed off or relieved
When this happens to me I can't help but wonder if the interupting individual is a narcissist or is an adult with attention deficit disorder (The children I know are polite.), or genuinely thinks I have nothing to say. I'm left feeling PO'd and wondering if I'm a bore.

I have reached the point where I just assume that most people aren't listening to anything. :(
